Broadway Armory, Chicago, IL

Tripartite acted as consultant to Triangle2 Partners, the prime consultant to the Chicago Park District to develop the seven million dollar budget associated with the schematic plans for the conversion and upgrading of this outdated sports facility for the District. Constructed as an ice rink in the 1910’s, it was converted to an armory by 1928. The park district acquired the building in the 1980’s and soon started to utilize the space for public sporting use. Many of the original features of the building remained, including the original heating system. Along with the detailed cost estimate, Tripartite helped to develop a viable program for the renovation and addition to suit the Park District’s needs.
