Chimney Repairs at 20 various Chicago Public Schools

Two phases for this unique project addressed the crumbling chimney stacks at many sites throughout the K-12 school system. Tripartite collaborated with a specialist chimney consultant to assess, design, and monitor the required repairs to the interior linings, exterior masonry, caps, and steel climbing systems at interior and exterior. In some cases, stacks were lowered where feasible, and new stainless steel linings were installed. Hazardous material abatement and pigeon deterrent devices were required at many sites. The removal of abandoned incinerators was also included.
